The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It lies on the bank of the Danube. Although this image has been shot by millions photographers and tourists, I just couldn't resist. Apologies for the lack of creativity here. It has to be one of the most beautiful parliament buildings in the world! The Danube river provides the beautiful foreground and reflections. Kudos to the early town planners of Budapest.

As I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight back down under, I thought I should do some quick editing to make the most of the last few hour I have in Europe. I have a huge backlog of photos that requires my attention. This three months as been a blast! Budapest has been lovely city to visit and photograph. Even after three whole days, I feel that there are still so many interesting subjects and viewpoints that I have yet to photograph. They made the effort to illuminate all the iconic buildings which makes for great blue hour images. Needless to say, I am looking forward to coming back sometime in the future!

The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Designed by the English engineer William Tierney Clark and built by the Scottish engineer Adam Clark, it was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary. It was opened in 1849. The bridge has the name of István Széchenyi, a major supporter of its construction, attached to it, but is most commonly known as the "Chain Bridge". At the time of its construction, it was regarded as one of the modern world's engineering wonders.
