Skyline panorama Erasmusbrug / Wilhelmina pier Rotterdam

This psecific spot has been on my wishlist for a long time. Woohoow, finally got the chance to grab some shots of it. It is called 'Spoorweghaven' and is one of the oldest habours in Rotterdam. It is a very peaceful and atmospheric location.

Rijnhavenbrug /Wilhelminapier Rotterdam

One month after all my camera equipment was stolen, I am back in business. I decided to switch to a mirrorless camera and I am happy with the first results. This is a view of Rotterdam with the iconic Erasmus Bridge.

The floating pavilion in Rotterdam, was one of the locations I wanted to grab some shots. While I was waiting for the blue hour, I grabbed a long exposure.

A prize winning footbridge over the A15 motorway, connecting, in case you're wandering, bits of green landscape. Also known as "De Netkous" (Dutch) or "Fishnet Stocking" in English.

Rotterdam is a very modern city, with several skyscrapers. Looking up, can give a very interesting view. This location is known through history. It was the first shipping line between Holland and New York. Cargo started in 1809, passengers in 1873.

The 802-metre-long (2,631 ft) bridge across the New Meuse was designed by Ben van Berkel and completed in 1996. The cable-stayed bridge section has a single 139-metre-high (456 ft) asymmetrical white pylon with a prominent horizontal base, earning the bridge its nickname "The Swan". The southernmost span of the bridge has an 89-metre-long (292 ft) bascule bridge for ships that cannot pass under the bridge. The bascule bridge is the largest and heaviest in Western Europe and has the largest panel of its type in the world.

During the day I came twice to this spot, I really wanted this shot. Each time there was to much traffic. I went back around 8pm, woohoow, it is nearly empty. Just to be sure I had nobody in my frame, I used a 6 stop ND filter.
