I was so happy when I finally managed to photograph this iconic spot in golden Autumn weather. It had been on my wish list for a long time. Little was I to know that it would be the last photo with my camera. The following day my car was broken into and ALL my photography equipment (cameras, lenses, tripods, filters etc) was stolen. A very black day and sad day. (Earlier photo from Val di Funes: www.flickr.com/photos/adelheids-pictures/40857406901
This is one of the photos from last years Autumn trip to the Balkans, when I was lucky to get this wonderful sunset sky on my one evening stopover in the Dolomites.
The sunrise wasn't quite what I was hoping for, still I like the way it lit up the clouds around Peitlerkofel mountain in the Dolomites.
On the left side you can see the "Saslonch", best known for the men's downhill race in the Alpine Ski World Cup.
La base imponente della parete che si innalza fino alla cima dell'Antermoa, anche se solo quando ci passi sotto, come chi si è già avviato al passo Antermoa, te ne rendi pienamente conto.
Piz Boè - located in the heart of the Dolomites - is the highest mountain of the Sella Group. It has an elevation of 3 152 metres.

Overview of five vertical shots at 14 mm
Years ago I saw a photograph of this spot and ever since I have wanted to go there myself. The chance finally came last Autumn and I spent 1 night in the area, and was so lucky to get this wonderful light and sky at Sunset. It was the first photo shoot of a 4 week Balkan trip, and after this, nothing could go wrong. At some point I will have to go back to get the nearby church of Sta Maddalena, but I hear that it suffers from terrible over-population by photographers, whereas here, (after the Chines wedding couples cleared out) there were only 3 other photographers.

Die Latemar Gruppe spiegelt sich im späten Abendlich im Wunleger-Weiher oberhalb von Weißlahnbad.
This is not the most frequent view from this popular photospot. It would be the famous Rosengarten massif, which is also mirrored in this pond. But it was imposed by clouds all day. So I turned round 90 degrees to the right and shot this beautiful reflection of the Latemar-group.
