By way of a change from the mountains, here is a shot from a visit to the Cotswolds. This is Broadway Tower under leaden skies. The tower is on one of the highest points in the Cotswold Hills and affords a fine view across the Vale of Evesham, Worcestershire.
Fladbury Mill in Worcestershire, taken on a beautiful afternon in March. The river Avon is running quite low at the moment after a period of dry weather, revealing the small islands in the flow.
As seen on BBC Weather!
The rising sun beaming through an arch of Eckington Bridge to light up the mist on the river Avon.
I made this trip to the Broadway Tower in Worcestershire on the promise of clear skies all night and the 99% full moon shining at the tower. Got the...

Sometimes being Dad's Taxi has the advantage of taking you somewhere you would not otherwise have been. So it was the other day when one of my brood needed to be dropped off in Pershore, and as there was a bit of colour in the sky I decided to chance my arm in Fladbury. A reminder to always take the camera (and the dog...). Cropthorne Mill is too low to catch the setting sun, but it is a fine spot when the sky colours up behind it. For those wondering why it is called Cropthorne Mill when it is in Fladbury, it is because there are two mills at this point - Fladbury Mill on the west side of the river, and Cropthorne Mill on the east side. Cropthorne Mill is Grade 2 listed.
Even though it is 10th April, we are still struggling to shake off winter in these parts so I don't feel so bad about posting another frozen scene. This is another from a very cold and foggy visit to Pirton Pool. I have tried to photograph this little boat a number of times but never really liked the results. On this day the fog isolated it from it's surroundings, and the ice of the lake and that clinging to the tree branches and even to the rushes growing in the sunken boat gave it a little extra.
I'd completely forgotten about the mills at Fladbury near Evesham unitl I was reminded of them by fellow Flickr folk Mark and Paul.
There are two mills on the River Avon at Fladbury, either end of the weir. This is Cropthorne Mill, which is possibly the more photogenic of the two.
Thanks very much for looking.
The red sandstone of Eckington Bridge positively glowed in the rays of the setting sun (I've actually toned it down a bit), emphasised by the dark clouds of the approaching storm. The river was so still that the reflections were almost perfect.
There was quite a lot of heavy rain showers in Warwickshire yesterday, so mid afternoon I headed out to Broadway Tower to see if there would be any...
