After our trip to Sonora pass en route to our hotel we came across the intersection to Bodie statepark which houses an old abandoned mining town. So we decided to check it out. The drive is quite harsh after a certain distance as the paved road suddenly stops and you are faced with a bon jarring drive uphill to the town.
En route to our destination we came across this beautiful sight, a grove of trees perfectly shielded from the cold winds by the rolling hills. I love how late evening light and the golden hue of the hills perfectly complementing each other. After getting this shot we hightailed it out of there to get a sunset shot st Mono Lake. Hope you all enjoy the shot as much as I did making it.
