“Cara Na Mara”, or simply Eddie's boat as called by locals, was stranded on sand at Maheraclogher Strand in the early 1970s. It's deteriorating ever since, but as of 2019 its right side looks still pretty good (for a shipwreck anyway).
Photo tips: Wide angle works very well here, various time of day might give good results, including night shots. I like the clean sand after high tide, there aren't any footprints around Eddie then.
From the west, you can photograph the iconic Errigal mountain together with the shipwreck, which might look good when weather cooperates.
Getting there: Park your car right next to the beach and then walk about 200 meters.

Early morning after a high tide the beach was cleaned of footprints and small sand ripples were there instead. I positioned my camera very low to emphasize the ripples and made a long exposure to smooth out the sky. Some focus stacking was need as well, since the foreground was very close to the camera. I opted for B/W, since the sky color was rather dull.
