The Montparnasse Tower (Tour Montparnasse in French), is a 210 meter high building in the center of Paris. It's not only known to locals as as the ugliest building in the city, but its Observation deck also offers beautiful views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower.
Photo tips: The observation deck has two levels, the lower indoor and the rooftop panoramic terrace, both with glass walls, so be ready to handle reflections (a dark cloth or so). Tripods are allowed though!
Getting there: Either Metro 4, 6 , 12 , 13 at Gare Montparnasse, 3 km walk from Eiffel Tower or by car and park nearby. As of 2023 the regular price is 15 Euros.
It's open every day, hours differ: 9:30 am to 11:30 pm, from April 1th to September 30th. From 9:30 am to 10:30 pm Sunday to Thursday and 9:30 am to 11 pm Friday to Saturday, from October 1th to March 31th. Check the official website for details and updates.
