Fontaine des Fleuves, Paris
Place de la Concorde
by Michel Couprie

Place de la Concorde No rain this night, but the wind was blowing droplets from the fountain toward my lens. I thought that the effect would be nice, so I did not clean it... hence the flare. ƒ/8.0 24 mm 15s ISO 100 Lens: TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L (click to see all my photos with this lens) Post-processing: I had to rub out a disgraceful tag on the wall of the fountain.

La Defense
La Défense
by Eduard Wichner

La Défense is a major business district near Paris, in France. La Défense is Europe's largest purpose-built business district with 560 hectares (5.6 million square metres) area, 72 glass and steel buildings and skyscrapers, 180,000 daily workers, and 3.5 million square metres (37.7 million sq ft) of office space. Around its Grande Arche and esplanade ("le Parvis"), La Défense contains many of the Paris urban area's tallest high-rises, and is home to no fewer than 1,500 corporate head offices, including those of 15 of the top 50 companies in the world. The district is located at the western-most extremity of the ten-kilometre-long Historical Axis of Paris, which starts at the Louvre in Central Paris, and continues along the Champs-Élysées, well beyond the Arc de Triomphe before culminating at La Défense. The district is centred in an orbital motorway straddling the Hauts-de-Seine département municipalities of Courbevoie, Nanterre and Puteaux. La Défense is primarily a business district, and hosts only a population of 25,000 permanent residents and 45,000 students. La Défense is also visited by 8,000,000 tourists each year, and houses an open-air museum.

Another item of my series on Bir Hakeim bridge at dawn. I like this moment when the sun is still hidden, yet lightens the clouds obliquely... Lens: Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 (click to see all my photos with this lens) [Explored] Many thanks for your visits, comments and faves! :-))

Cèdre bleu pleureur de l’Atlas
Cèdre bleu pleureur de l’Atlas
by Jean-Louis Dumas

Notre Dame de Paris in Twilight
Notre Dame from Bridge of the Archbishopric
by Yi Jiang

Notre Dame de Paris (in English: Our Lady of Paris), also known as Notre Dame Cathedral, is a Gothic, Roman Catholic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris, France. It is the cathedral of the Catholic archdiocese of Paris: that is, it is the church that contains the "cathedra", or official chair, of the Archbishop of Paris, André Cardinal Vingt-Trois. Notre Dame de Paris is widely considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture in France and in Europe. It was restored and saved from destruction by Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, one of France's most famous architects. The name Notre Dame means "Our Lady" in French, and is frequently used in the names of Catholic church buildings in Francophone countries.

Il Faro di Cap Ferret (Nizza)
Il Faro di Cap Ferret
by Salvatore Petrantoni
