Herbert Lake is a small glacial lake in western Alberta, Canada. It is located on the Icefields Parkway, in the Canadian Rockies.
Photo tips: Normal/wide lens will serve best here, in order to capture the reflections and not only the distant mountains.
The scenery here works well year-round, just try to catch a nice sunrise or sunset. Sunrises often offer fog on the water.
Getting there: The lake is very close to Lake Louise (about 6 km, less than 10 minutes by car), making it an easily reachable sunrise or sunset destination.
Please park at the nearby parking/rest area and carefully walk some 300 meters back to this location.
