Another find in the Archives, taken on a trip up the road to Mallaig. Our original plan had been to find somehwere near Arisaig for sunset but were unsuccessful so we headed to Loch nan Uamh.
This was the sunset at Loch nan Uamh on Sunday evening, this is the area where Bonnie Prince Charlie came ashore to raise the Jacobite banner and the start of the '45 rebellion and also the place from where he left to go into exile in France after the defeat at the Battle of Culloden. Maybe he saw the sun set at the end of the day and also on his ambitions and that of the House of Stuart as he sailed off into exile
