Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest and the largest national park in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register.
Two years ago I was visiting the Balkan countries. The only thing missing from my Croatia album was a photo of the famous Plitvice Lakes, and I do think they belong here. To be honest, I was more impressed with the Krka waterfalls, of which I posted a photo before. However I do think the fall colours in the Plitvice park were stunning.
