The beautiful Seljalandsfoss Waterfall on Iceland :-) I like this one because it's not that typical common view on the waterfall.

The often photographed stunning Icelandic falls - seljalandsfoss.
The last time I was here there was no snow and you could get right around the back of the powerful falls, that route was closed off on this visit probably due to there being thick ice on the ground covered with snow...
The wind this day was really strong and even getting out of the car you had to hang onto the door so it didn't snap off backwards, (never a great idea taking a hire car back with 1 door missing...)
I hadn't decided if I was going to shoot anything here or maybe some details sections of the falls but the wind was creating that much shape in the water, (and sometimes even blowing it right back up the cliff face)!, that I couldn't resist seeing if I could get something a little different to the norm, this was one of my favourite images, with the wind really tearing into the normally straight flowing water and completely rearranging it how it saw fit.
Securing the tripod and setup was a bit of an effort in this wind but it did a sterling job, don't think I canned even 1 shot due to camera shake, any deletions were all the dreaded inevitable water spots.

Seljalandsfoss in the South of Iceland. A lovely waterfall you can walk behind.
Seljalandsfoss is the only known waterfall in Iceland where one can walk behind the falls. This is actually fairly common in my native Oregon and is...
