Armenia

Armenia, a small country located in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia, is a hidden gem for photography enthusiasts. The church has been built in 1026, till today in excellent condition, despite of tough weather condition at this altitude of 2300 m. The roof structure is very unique.

Some structures did exist in the 4th century, the present church is from the 17th century. St.Gregory the Illuminator was here imprisoned in the 4th century because of his faith for 13 years. Later on he converted Armenia to christianity
