An evening shot over the river taken on the wooden pier.
My previous evening captures of Deventer were a little late in the evening. This time I wanted to catch the blue hour on a nice clear evening.

Deventer lies on the IJssel River and having a river running through a city always makes for great photo opportunities.

Finally a chance to photograph my home city using my new Canon 6D, a 24-70 f/4 lens and a 10 stop Lee filter. The image is much sharper than my previous attempts. For post processing I admit to having been inspired by some of Henk Meijer's photographs.
Another blue hour shot of my home town Deventer. There is a nice viewpoint just over the river IJssel which actually makes it very easy to photograph the skyline of the city, with the Lebuinus Church tower as focal point.

Another blue hour view of my home town, but from a slightly different perspective.
The church of Deventer and the houses along the river front always make for a great photo I think.
Thanks to all Phoide contributors to Uiterwaarden IJssel!
Most notably Adelheid Smitt and Mario Calma.
