Here's the colour version of an earlier B&W post.

When the weather has turned manky, there are few better spots to go to get a moody shot than Ardnamurchan lighthouse. At Latitude 56° 43.6′ N Longitude 6° 13.4′ W it is (almost) the most westerly point on the British mainland. The real 'most westerly point' is actually a little outcrop just south of here. Ardnamurchan Lighthouse has been guiding ships safely through the waters off Scotland’s west coast since 1849. Loads more info can be found here:- www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/kilchoan/ardnamurchanpoint...

Although it was damp and dismal, it wasn't particularly windy so the waves weren't crashing off the rocks like they can do. Still it was a good spot for a moody image.

Sanna Bay

Sanna Bay is a wonderful beach at the Western end of the Ardnamuchan Penisula, Lochaber, Scotland. It takes a bit of an effort to get there, and so even on a perfect day like this, it is nearly empty of people.

A wrong time of day shot with a clear blue sky... A grotty rock pool full of fantastically green seaweed made for a more interesting shot though.
