I was quite lucky here with some beautiful weather during sunrise at this popular spot.

Dawn at Fanad Head brought some nice cloud, just enough to make a good long exposure.
I was testing the very wide angle Laowa 9mm lens here and yeah, pretty happy with the result... ;-)
Fanad Head Lighthouse from this direction isn't that much about dramatic cliffs, as from the western direction. However lots of heather make an amazing foreground!

I'm just going though the photos from Northern Ireland and Donegal again and I still have many photos to process. Here's another one from Boyeegther Beach/ Murder Hole on the Rosguill peninsula in Donegal.
It was a crazy evening, first it wasn't so easy to find this beach and then the clouds were hiding most of the sun. But an hour before sunset it started to get magical and I think I took nearly 100 photos that evening. Mostly to make sure I had some without water drops on my filters showing. There was a lot of spray and after the sun had set I had 3 Lee filter cloths completely wet from cleaning my filters. In the end I couldn't get them clean anymore and had to shoot without filters. When shooting at the coast you just can't have enough filter cloths with you ;-)
I used a lee 0.6 soft + 0.6 hard gnd here and also blended in parts of the sky from a darker exposure. Then my normal postprocessing.
my start2finish postprocessing tutorial can be found here: Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial
Time for another photo from our trip to northern ireland and donegal back in july. This one was taken at a local beach on the Rosguill Peninsula in Donegal. Not so easy to find but worth the search :-) We were there at incomming tide and big waves were crashing upon the rocks as the sun set. Constantly wiping my filters I was able to snap some shots of the action.
The light was spectacular. A golden hue was laying over the whole place. The reddish rocks were glowing.
I used a lee 0.6 hard GND here to control the exposure of the sky.
Another photo from Donegal. This was the last good light of our vacation. And it was quite a chase to find a good location to shoot that evening. I had nothing planned. The day before we'd been to murder hole, now we were driving along the Atlantic drive and looking down to the coast this area looked promising with all those rocks. So I parked the car and went down. There was even a little blow hole in the cliffs where the water went up nearly 30feet when the waves crashed in.
I used a lee 0.6 soft + hard gnd here to cope with dynamic range. Still some blending was needed. Especially for the sunstar which I shot at f/22. The rest was shot at f/11 for sharpness. It needed some blending to put this together in a clean way and then some contrast and color work followed.
The techniques used on this image I also describe in my start2finish tutorial if you're interested -> Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial

Had to wait a long for this moment. The last photo below was shot nearly an hour earlier and in between there wasn't much sweet light and color, which I had hoped for. But as the sun appeared all changed.
A lot of blending was involved here to get a clean shot with the sunstar. If you are interested in my workflow, I've a detailed tutorial for another photo I've taken in Ireland -> Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial

Beautiful Fanad Lighthouse during twilight. I had to get up very early to get this photo. 3.50am the clock was ringing and then I had to drive 40minutes up to the tip of the fanad peninsula. I had scouted this area the day before, 2 hours before we went to murder hole.
Some very productive days, starting with this awesome giants causeway sunset, then murder hole beach and the morning after this sweet soft light at fanad. All within 48 hours. There are still some more photos to come but they really have to wait till after corsica.
This photo was processed using my typical processing workflow, as I describe in my start2finish tutorial: Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial

Stormy evening at murder hole beach on the rosguill peninsula in Ireland. A lot of sea spray made it a hard time for camera and filters, but I got some decent shots that evening. Here I used a lee 0.6 soft and a lee 0.6 hard gnd to balance the sky against the sea, my typical combo. This made it possible to get this shot in one exposure.
cheers
I can't remember many single shoots from which I posted so many photos as from this evening at Murder Hole Beach on Rosguill Peninsula, Northern Ireland. The light that evening was awesome and I went from one composition to the next trying to make the most of those fantastic conditions. I still have more and while they don't look that different they show nicely how the evening progressed.
