Located on the hillside above the castle, the garden provides an expansive view of the Prague Castle and the surrounding cityscape of Prague.

There are several vantage points from which to capture the castle panorama. The most popular spot is at the edge of the garden near the fence, where you can capture the entire castle complex with St. Vitus Cathedral as the centerpiece. However, if you explore the garden further, you'll find many hidden paths and viewpoints that offer unique perspectives and angles for your photos.

Photo tips: This place is great for sunrises when the rising sun backlights the foliage. This is particularly nice when the trees are in bloom, which happens in Spring around early to mid-April. I yet have to try some Autumn composition here.

Getting there: Take the tram to the Pohořelec stop and then follow the signs to the Strahov Monastery. From there, it's a short walk to the garden entrance. You can also walk here from the nearby Prague Castle or Petřín Tower.
