Czechia, also known as the Czech Republic, is a beautiful country located in Central Europe. It is known for its stunning architecture, rich history, and picturesque landscapes. For photography enthusiasts, Czechia offers a plethora of locations to capture stunning shots. From the historic city of Prague, with its charming streets and iconic landmarks, to the breathtaking natural beauty of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, there is no shortage of photo opportunities. Other popular photography locations in Czechia include the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, the colorful houses of the town of Telc, and the stunning castles of Karlstejn and Hluboka.
I think most blue hour photos of Prague feature the Charles Bridge in some way or other. Mine are no exception, this is my third photo of Prague, and perhaps the most famous view with Prague Castle and the St. Vitus Cathedral on the hill. There are still some more views I would like to photograph on a future visit. Just payed Prague another visit. This time I had hoped for some snow. Well it was cold enough but no snow. Still I got some nice photos. Here again Charles Bridge in the morning, the only time you get this shot without people :-)
This is just one exposure of 50 seconds. No stacking or exposure blending needed. The light was very even during blue hour this morning.
cheers
A very popular view over Prague from Hanavsky Pavillion. I had to squeeze in a small spot between a number of photographers who were obviously there as part of a workshop.
There isn't snow in Prague that often, but when there is, it's a great opportunity to visit and photograph the historic center.
I'm already planning the next trip to Prague this winter. The city is pure magic full of beautiful photo locations. Here I went on a twilight shoot to get an empty view of the charles Bridge. At 70mm and f/8 I needed some focus stacking here to get everything sharp. The photo was 120 seconds exposed, was still quite dark and twilight just started to color the sky.
If you're interested in focus stacking and how my images get that look check out my start2finish tutorial. Infos can be found on my blog -> Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial
No secrets in there :-)
cheers
A fairy-tale view of the Little Square in Prague from the lower eastern part of the Prague Castle. First try of 5 RAW pictures with different exposures.
I used telephoto lens here in order to compress the scene a little. Quite a long time was needed to smooth out the water and then also focus stacking, as I wanted both the small tree and waterfall in focus, which would be hard to achieve with the telephoto lens.
Sunrise on the famous Charles Bridge in Prague.
Showing this image I'm really going far back in my archives. I still like to remember this travel to Prag in 2014. For me this city is one of the most beautiful in central Europe and the St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the absolute highlights of gothic architecture ever.
The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert is a Roman Catholic metropolitan cathedral in Prague, the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. Until 1997, the cathedral was dedicated only to Saint Vitus, and is still commonly named only as St. Vitus Cathedral. (Wikipedia)

Foggy morning on Charles Bridge
Prague The National Theatre
I should have been here earlier. After setting up camera and tripod, the Sun was already almost hidden behind hills on the right. That said, I like how the left part is lit by the last direct rays, while the Charles Bridge in shadows complements it on the right.
Will return sometimes though to capture this scene slightly more before sunset in order to have also the bridge illuminated. Maybe the next summer.
Pančava waterfall right after sunrise with clouds down in the 'Labský důl' valley.
Almonds bloom here beautifully in the Spring, usually around mid or late March. Quite a popular spot then, but still enjoyable.
Mornings are the best as there's a nice light from the East. Sunsets don't light the orchard at all.
Various compositions are possible here, from details to Prague panoramas. I prefer shorter telephoto lens as it lets you include some foreground together with some beautiful Prague Old Town towers.

The Lightbulb Staircase of Grand Cafe Orient in the House of the Black Madonna is one of Prague’s hidden gems. Designed by architect Josef Gočár in 1911, the building is the only surviving Cubist interior in the world.
