Remnants of a late afternoon rainstorm that passed through Arches National Park a few days ago. The sunset fizzled out but I'm happy I got this one. ...

Arches National Park is such a wonderful little spot located north of Moab UT. This park is home to over 2000 of the natural sandstone arches and visiting some of the most famous arches in the park can take quite a fair bit of time. During our visit to Moab a good bit of time was taken by some of the landmark locations like delicate arch, the fins, turret arch, etc. and we only had a mid morning time slot to visit the stunning North Window arch.
The North Windoe is basically a giant hole in a whuge sandstone wall and is famous for a view of the turret arch through the window. Unfortunately, we visited during a time when the shadow of the turret arch was not favorable for that composition. So, I Settled for a nice shot of the north window against the backdrop of the vivid blue sky.
