Compositions on the Charles Bridge in the eastern direction usually include statues and historical lanterns in the foreground and the bridge leads eyes to the Old Town Bridge Tower.
Photo tips: Charles Bridge is very popular, so expect a lot of people here. It's much better in the mornings, but evenings are crowded here. However, with the help of a tripod and a long exposure, you can blur the people and create some great photographs even when the bridge isn't deserted.
Wide angle lenses will be the most useful here, in order to include enough of the bridge in the foreground.
Getting there: The composition can be made along the most of the bridge. The distance from the Tower and lens used changes the resulting perspective.
Sunrise on the famous Charles Bridge in Prague.
I'm already planning the next trip to Prague this winter. The city is pure magic full of beautiful photo locations. Here I went on a twilight shoot to get an empty view of the charles Bridge. At 70mm and f/8 I needed some focus stacking here to get everything sharp. The photo was 120 seconds exposed, was still quite dark and twilight just started to color the sky.
If you're interested in focus stacking and how my images get that look check out my start2finish tutorial. Infos can be found on my blog -> Start2Finish Post Processing Tutorial
No secrets in there :-)
cheers

Charles Bridge, Prague, République tchèque (HDR)
This is the beautiful charles bridge in Prague, often photographed but I couldn't resist. In the early morning hours it's the only time when you can shoot it devoid of people. Only a few other photogrpahers were present.
This is a panorama of three horizontal shots stitched together using hugin.
