Mánes Bridge gives a good vantage point to be slightly above Vltava river and see the Charles Bridge together with some old buildings of Prague and don't let the bridge to hide the National Theater behind (which is the case for spots located somewhat lower, next to Vltava).
Photo tips: This spot is particularly nice a bit before sunset (about 30-60 minutes), when the buildings on the Vltava's right bank (left side from this point) are nicely lit by the setting Sun together with the Charles Bridge. You can't wait too long because Sun hides behind peaks on the West for the last 20-30 minutes before sunset.
You'll need normal lens (about 35-50 mm) to capture the scenery. Wider lens might be needed to capture more of the river, together with swans that are usually there.
Getting there: It's right next to the Malostranská underground station or very close walking distance from the Old Town or Prague Castle.

I should have been here earlier. After setting up camera and tripod, the Sun was already almost hidden behind hills on the right. That said, I like how the left part is lit by the last direct rays, while the Charles Bridge in shadows complements it on the right.
Will return sometimes though to capture this scene slightly more before sunset in order to have also the bridge illuminated. Maybe the next summer.
